Who operates Morsel
Morsel is operated by Goof Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd, registration number 91440106MAKRKDRW6J, with its registered address at Room B23, Floor 04, No. 10 Kangti Road, Huangcun, Tianhe District, Guangzhou, Guangdong. The governing law stated in these terms is 中华人民共和国,适用中华人民共和国法律.
These terms form the agreement between you and the operator. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
The service
Morsel is a file utility. Depending on the tool, files are either processed in your browser with WebAssembly and WebCodecs, or uploaded to our servers for processing. Each tool page states which path applies before you start a job.
For tools that upload files, the file is used only to perform the requested job, is not used to train models, and is deleted after the job completes and in any case within 24 hours.
The server stores the account, session, job metadata, credit records, and billing records needed to meter the service. Job records contain formats, counts, byte sizes, durations, status, and error codes; they do not contain file names or file contents.
Image conversion, image compression, video conversion, video compression, archives, and QR codes are available now. More tools are added continuously; each new tool states its processing path, formats, and limits.
Processing depends on the tool, browser, and device. Results are not guaranteed for every format, codec, file size, or device. Limits are shown before a job starts.
Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, to create an account. You must be able to enter a binding contract.
Sign-in uses a six-digit code sent to your email address. No password is stored. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure and for activity under your account.
Provide an email address you control and keep your account information accurate. We may refuse or suspend an account if the information is false, the account is used to abuse the service, or we are required to do so by law.
Credits, plans, and payment
Usage is metered in credits. The current rates are 1 credit per image, 1 credit per 10 seconds of video (rounded up, minimum 1), 1 credit per 10 MiB of archive input (rounded up, minimum 1), 1 credit per 10 generated QR codes (rounded up, minimum 1), and 1 credit per recognized QR image.
Paid plans are monthly: Go — $5.00/month, 500 credits, 250 MB per file; Plus — $12.00/month, 1,500 credits, 500 MB per file; Pro — $29.00/month, 4,000 credits, 1 GB per file; Max 5x — $99.00/month, 20,000 credits, 2 GB per file; Max 20x — $349.00/month, 80,000 credits, 2 GB per file. Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax.
Payments are not enabled in this preview. No charge is made and no subscription can be purchased. Plan changes during the preview are made manually by the operator. When payments launch, the checkout may be provided by a payment processor and additional tax may be added.
Credits are a usage allowance, not money, stored value, or a security. They have no cash value, are not transferable, and may not be sold or exchanged outside the service, except for refunds under the refund policy.
Acceptable use
The acceptable use policy is part of these terms. It lists prohibited content and conduct, including illegal material, malware, infringement, privacy violations, harassment, fraud, circumvention of limits, and unauthorized access.
Depending on the tool, processing may happen in your browser or on our servers. The operator does not routinely inspect file contents. You are responsible for the files you open and the outputs you create.
Your content and responsibilities
You retain whatever rights you have in your files and outputs. You grant the operator only the limited rights needed to operate the service, such as storing account and job metadata and sending transactional email.
You must have the rights needed to process the files you use. Keep your own copies of important files; the service is a utility, not a backup service.
Do not use the service for material you are not allowed to process, and do not rely on it for regulated, medical, legal, or financial decisions without independent review.
Intellectual property
The service, brand, interface, and documentation are owned by the operator or its licensors. Open-source components remain under their respective licenses, which are listed on the licenses page.
If you send feedback, you allow the operator to use it to improve the service without obligation to you.
Availability and changes
The service is provided on an as-available basis. Maintenance, provider outages, browser changes, and device limits can interrupt it. The operator does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Features may be added, changed, or withdrawn. If a change materially reduces paid functionality, the operator will give reasonable notice where practical. The preview may change without notice and does not create a paid entitlement.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, and accuracy of results.
Processing depends on the tool, browser, and device. A successful decode or encode on one device does not guarantee the same result on another. You are responsible for checking outputs before relying on them.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility.
The operator’s total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim or the minimum amount required by applicable law.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time and may delete your account from the account settings. Deletion requires a second email code. It anonymizes the email address, revokes sessions, cancels an active subscription, and removes authentication and rate-limit records.
The operator may suspend or terminate an account for material breach, abuse, fraud, a legal requirement, or a security risk. Where practical, notice is given and an opportunity to respond is provided.
Records needed for accounting, security, or legal obligations may be retained in pseudonymized form after termination, as described in the privacy policy.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of 中华人民共和国,适用中华人民共和国法律, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that jurisdiction have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law gives you another forum.
Before starting a formal claim, contact support so the issue can be reviewed. Nothing here prevents you from using a mandatory consumer dispute process.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the service changes. The effective date and last updated date at the top of the page show the current version. Material changes will be announced in the service or by email where appropriate.
Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
Language
These terms are published in English and Simplified Chinese. Both versions describe the same service. If there is a conflict, the English version controls to the extent permitted by law.
